Everyone in this world is looking to be successful. I have since defined 30 ways to guarantee success in life, to prepare you for the ultimate way to real success. Most people normally measure success using tangible things such as houses, companies, certificates, awards, cars, and other properties, but does that truly reflect genuine success?

Can we use wealth as a measure of success? I have heard of wealthy people asking for public help on the radio, confessing about troubles and lack of rest because of their dirty money. Do not misquote me, I am not saying I associate every wealth with dirty money. There are treasures people get when they apply the fundamental principles of success and the life-changing principles to escape poverty we always teach. There are riches with a clean record. True success leads to everlasting happiness, peace of mind, love, the joy of achievement, and a sense of security. There is no genuine success without these life attributes. How do we achieve genuine success? This article contains the guaranteed way to achieve genuine success.

Measure of success

The meaning of success is relative in the eyes of man because people exist at different levels of achievement. Someone spends 3 to 4 months saving to buy a bicycle, which may be a success if he or she does so, but to someone, a bicycle is nothing but a tool for weekend exercises. So, in human terms, success has no meaningful and unique measure. Our marker, God, however, has the ultimate formula and meaning of success, which applies to everyone.

Real success

To qualify for genuine success, you simply need to mind your priorities well. The ultimate secret of genuine success is to mind first what matters the most, which is seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. God already knows about all your desires (Matthew 6 verses 8 and 32) but wants you to mind this matter of the greatest importance as your first priority. Many people are poor because of misplaced priorities. God’s word reminds us in Matthew 6 verses 24 and 31 that we should not worry about or make as our first priority the earthly things such as money, riches, clothes, food, possessions, or whatever people wrongly use as a measure of true success. God’s word instructs us to be wise (Matthew 6 verses 19 and 20) and chooses valuable treasure, which leads to real success.

The ultimate way to real success

Matthew 6 verse 33 contains God’s ultimate formula for genuine success, and I quote (ESV), “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” This is the most guaranteed way to have genuine success in life. All you need is to aim at and strive after, first of all, God’s way of doing and being right, then all the earthly things you so desire will be given to you. Psalms 37 verses 3 to 5, (NLT) reads, “Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will leave safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the lord. Trust him, and he will help you.” Those who fear him will have all they need (Psalms 34, verse 9).

I have seen highly educated people that are very poor, because of a lack of knowledge. All they have in their minds is useless information they remembered to pass examinations, and have little application skills. Today, I want you to know that true wisdom comes if you mind your priorities well. Proverbs 1 verse 7 teaches us to fear the Lord of all creation, and I quote (NLT), “The fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.” Proverbs 3 verses 5, 6, and 7 (NLT) read, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.”

So, from now onwards, never misplace your priorities. Do the right thing and worry not about useless things of the earth because the things will be given to you if you do the noble thing first. Also, do not worry about wicked people who seem to prosper, or envy those who do wrong, for their success is temporal (Psalms 31 verses 1, 2, 7, 9, 10, 35, 36). Proverbs 10 verse 3 (ESV) reads, “Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit, but righteousness delivers from death.” Aspire to do good and seek the face of the lord. “God looks down from heaven on the entire human race; He looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God,” Psalms 53 verse 2.

Do the will of God in your life

I always teach that you should ask God for his will in your life and then do it wholeheartedly. God created you for a reason, and that reason is where your greatest strength is. God’s plan for you is to do the work of your love, the work you find joy in doing, whether or not you are paid for it. Do not be wise in your own eyes, but be dependent on your maker in everything you do. Many people, however, never consult the creator and end up doing things they are not good at, things that are not in the plan of God for them, and things that expose their weakness. Therefore, things often go wrong, leading to a lack of success in life. God’s word is so clear about this. “For not from the east nor from the west nor from the south come promotion and lifting up.  But God is the judge! He puts down one and lifts up another,” Psalms 75 verses 6 and 7 (AMP). “You can make your own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer.” Proverbs 16 verse 1 (NLT) “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16, verse 3. “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs 16, verse 9.

Be willing to work

Do not be lazy and fold your hands doing nothing, for God blesses the work of your hands. Many people miss it when they expect God to do every miracle for them, while all they can do is sitting down, sleeping and doing nothing. “But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep? When will you work up? A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest-then poverty will pounce on you like bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber,” Proverbs 6 verses 9 to 11 (NLT). The word of God is so clear that you should work, but doing his will for maximum results.

The fruits of real success

Have you ever been blessed or see a blessed person? You will receive an inheritance that lasts forever (Psalms 37 verse 18). You will leave with peace of mind, a sense of security, love, and joy of achievement. Proverbs 10 verse 22 (NLT) clearly tells us that, “The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.” Besides, you get guidance and support from the Lord. “The Lord directs the steps of the Godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall…” Psalms 37 verses 23 and 24 (NLT). Now, if you diligently seek the Lord and get his approval, anointing and touch, indeed, you attain genuine success, which stands the test of time in good health and happiness.

Mistake to avoid when super successful

It is important to note that God’s blessing is something you need to treat with care. The more you get blessed, the more you should seek the Lord and his righteousness. Many people often go astray when they get an overflow of the earthly things, they so desire, thus compromising their relationship with God. “The earnings of the godly enhance their lives, but evil people squander their money on sin,” Proverbs 10 verse 16 (NLT). If you wander away from God, you face the fate of the wicked and lose everything. I have seen people who fall prey to wickedness because of a lack of self-control after getting a lot of money. They date many sexual partners and do every filth thing which detests the Lord. Do not trade your relationship with God for anything, for example, money. Money, for instance, is not bad, but the love of it beyond the love of God is not good. Remember, the love of money is the root of all evil. Some people end up doing the worst things, such as killing, stealing, gambling, and so on, just to get an extra dollar.

Conclusion

If you want genuine success, It can only come from God. For you to get it, you need to seek God and his righteousness as your first priority, seeking his will in everything you do. You will then have everything you so desire because it will easily be approved and given to you. Every work you do will be anointed and guaranteed true success. You will live a trouble-free life because God will come to your rescue each time you face challenges.
